Driven

Sorry. Had to start a new thread as the other one was full of people complaining that the Scoob is better.
That is not the point. The point is that the programme was utter sh!te.
First they test drive the cars in a video game? Hmm...very relevant. Then they take six of the least likely performance car drivers you could get. Forget the fact that they worked in computing as that is irrelevant. They were simply not suitable for testing the cars. The first comment made was "it's been a long time since I've driven anything fast". What the f*ck do you know then?
All of the drivers looked intimidated by the cars reluctant/incapable of pushing them.
Then they chase a saxo. Novel idea and I have to say that MR Plato made the saxo look great. Very impressive.
On the other hand, whilst Plato kept the momentum going through corners etc Malory seemed to bring the car to a complete standstill. Considering both cars are so easy to drive fast in she seemed to get the Scoob out of shape all over the place. How the hell did she have so much trouble in it?
In summing up they basically made the Evo sound streets ahead of the Scoob, even though it is common knowledge that they are closely matched cars. I have no doubt that judging by popular consensus, the Evo is a better drivers car, but not by that much?
Anyway, **** programme. Not entertaining at all. F*cking soft touch motoring programme aimed at vegetarians.
I want to see a return of the old style Topgear, with Tiff, Clarkson and that funny Mank bloke who used to test bikes.
That would be worth tuning in to.

Nice one Elvis... my 'Driven is...' thread was aimed at the program itself, not the w@nky article it had
People comments re 'it's only telly' - very true, but people do take notice (look at what it has sparked off here), it is a very powerful medium.
Basically, the program is crap.

Elvis, couldn't have worded your first post any better M8. Driven is a cr@p program aimed at Joe Average. My mate at work who loves football, hates cars gave me some stick today saying EVO beat the Scoob ! Maybe its the better car, maybe it isn't. I havent driven either back to back but I could have come up with a better conclusion than those amateurs on Drivel, sorry, Driven
