A-Plan Banner Advert
Hi folks,
Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on our advert.
Generally when I'm talking to people on the phone they are saying it's fine but one or two people have posted messages saying it's too big.
Under no circumstances do I want to annoy anyone with the advert but please remember I have paid for this. I'm also aware I'm not going to please all the people all the time but it's the same size as all the others but with less text.
Your thoughts
Rob

People will whine, but you paid your money...
As you said, it's the same size as other advertisers, you just chose to fill it with text rather than something else (naked women)
Fine by me!

When i originally saw your advert i thought it was a bit overpowering, but then after a couple of days i got used to it.
I then saw another large ad for K SPORT in another forum and thought the same thing and wondered when the next big ad would be and which forum it would appear in.
For this reason i have installed Firefox Ad Blocker and zapped all of them.
Im sure people will have different opinions on this. Some will say ScoobyNet needs the revenue from advertisers to pay for the site, which is fair enough and 100% true.
Some will say the ads are too big and intrusive and others will be happy to see them and not complain at all.
Personally, i dont mind the ads on SN, but did think the latest editions were just a little too big to live with, especially if more are on their way.

It's an eye sore to me.
No doubt when you are speak to people over the phone and giving them your 'best quote' the customer is not going to whinge now, are they?
I am not a customer and will gladly tell you it is awful.
If the same space was filled with a pic of an Impreza or something else easy on the eye then I would have no complaints.
Reduce the size of it please.

When I first saw it I thought.. christ that's a bit big..
However its certainly noticed.. unlike the smaller banner ads in the top right corner (BRDevelopments currently) which I never really notice.
So I'd say leave it there, as long as an increased number of scoobynet members taking out your insurance gives us some discount for your great service
If we're never gonna get some discount then its too big and I want it removed!!

It's way too big.
I block ads normally, but when I switched it back on to see what your ad looked like it engulfed half of my laptop screen - that's including the scoobynet header. Probably wouldn't be as obtrusive on a larger monitor but not everyone looks at the web that way these days. I would have to scroll down to see more than a sentence of a first post.

They've made all the banners too big.
Just because they're bigger than before doesn't mean they will get more hit's
Mods should really reconsider their sizing, really hit's you when you first enter, all you want to do is scroll down asap!
