"NEW" R&B Motorsport ACT Gauges
For the people that have had these in the past from Mike @ RB Motorsport he emailed me last week to say the new style and stock Is NOW done.
I got mine this morning and must say they are better well built unlike the last batch. Thicker wires More solid sensor and just better all round IMHO My old 1 was great and sold it to Ren that I believe is still working now after 4 years but the new batch are better!
Anyways get your order in then lads before he runs out as I know loads of people have been hounding him for these!

Pictures of mine I got this morning!

Fitted today 15th Feb
I brought a 2nd cup holder and converted that to hold the gage so if i sell the car I can replace the original cup holder!
I also decided to put the sensor in the d/v hole as I don't run a d/v! If it comes to it then I will drill and tap it into the inlet if not effective!
Putting pictures up so people can get an idea how to fit etc..

yeah look much better than the old ones, nearly twice the price they used to be but the rest of the kit looks much better too, might be worth a purchase soon now i've got a turbo'd motor again

think the price is a little OTT for what it is, which im suprised at mike as hes usually the other way ( and i aint talking about hes sexual choice)
does it measure in and out or just manifold ?

I am having mine measuring the inlet temp on the inlet but you can buy the duel sensor so you can do lot's of other readings. or before Inter cooler and after the Inter cooler.

Example! Say you have been sat for a while then decide to boot it off then the warm air won't dot he car any good and called heat sink on the inter cooler! Or even on a very hot summers say driving along your intercooler can still be hot.
Basicly if the gauge numbers read low then better your car will perform as of the cold air.
1 of these gauges also saved 1 of my cossie engines. I was driving along do the usual and all of a sudden it went really high on the temp even though my water temp was fine. Ended up my fuel pump wiring went crap and didn't give the right voltage and meant I was running really lean! if I carried on the car would of detonated!
Each to there own but i wont have a high performance car without 1 now!
these can also be put on any turbo car!

Very useful guage for measuring air charge temps. £72.50. Has other uses.
Tell tale when new max or min temperature is reached.
The one I fitted yesterday is just before the throttlebody.
Those with TMICs, especially Classics or heavily modified New Age will be shocked by the high temperatures on WOT.

The reason for the new gauge is that the old gauge only read up to 69.9°C and the thermister only up to 150°C. This meant that it was only able to measure post intercooler temps. The new gauge will read into four figures and the K-type thermocouple used (the reason for the extra expense, as the thermister was a few pounds and the thermocouple more than ten times the cost - this version reads up to 250°C), allows the gauge to be used to measure any fluid / air temps within that range.
For example, on my own car I have one gauge connected to three thermocouples and a tri-colour LED. The three thermocouples are connected to the two diffs and gearbox and cycle through each temp every 5s (with the LED changing colour to allow me to see which temp is being displayed).
On another customer's car, we used a four colour LED and a rotary switch. He used this to monitor pre-intercooler temps, post intercooler temps, oil temp and water temp, all from the one gauge .

We've been running these on track day cars for years.
Should be compulsory!

Yes. Happy to run a GB on these. I have 4 in stock now.
There is a colour choice, blue or green backlight. The blue is attractive but anyone with the existing green SPA for instance will be better off with green, obviously.
I will contact Mike Rainbird now and post more info.
In the meantime please let me have potential interest.

Feel free to do the group buy as it would be a good thing for S/N and like I said to Mike Credit where it's due as a fantastic item!

For more information refer to the GB.
The GB covers both single and dual probes, £65 and £95 posted.
The probe goes wherever you wish to measure the temperature and that would generally be in the hard pipe to the FMIC close to the throttlebody or on a TMIC in the joiner to the TB or on the front facing surface of the TMIC close to the air exit.
One consideration is that you want to measure air flow temperature and not the heat of the surrounding metalwork.
