not for me.
I've considered one for a while now for both visual effect and also to stop the scoop making the bonnet flex so much at license losing speeds.
But the air into the scoop also cools the gearbox area, so for the time being, on my car at least, it stays.

I thought the idea was to let hot air out and to be fitted with a fmic only someone correct me if i am wrong but that is what i was told.
the way it explained to me was hot air rises why would you want to keep forcing cold air in if it has no where to go, the shape of the top vent causes a vaccum some how and draws the hot air out, something to do with air travelling throgh the rad, making a venturey effect. (or how ever u spell it)

Venturi?
The cold air coming in on my car leaves underneath where the undertray used to be.
Air rushing over the reversed scoop will draw the rising hot air out in theory.
If they are like some of the ETS offerings then they will let a lot of water in, not good if the coil pack sits there

If you have removed the TMIC, the scoop will create an 'air dam' in effect as hot trying to travel away from the rad will get caught up by air being forced in through the scoop.
A reverse scoop will 'draw' the hot air away from the engine bay hopefully increasing the cooling efficiency of the rad and other parts. I believe in them, so much so, that I'm fitting one to my RA-R. And Roger Clark use them on the Gobstopper so that can't be a bad thing.

Always get's a second glance from me when i see a car with one - looks bizarre but certainly serves a purpose. Always get's people asking questions as well

2. I think £340 for a reverse scoop is alot of money. You can get a full carbon bonet for a few squid more, with the scoop built in !

Do you know of a carbon bonnet with a reverse scoop built into it by any chance?
That would definitely interest me.

Could you maybe post up a pic? I would like to see how 'high' the reverse scoop is on these bonnets, in relation to the Roger Clark ones that people have been buying.
Personally I would love an all-in-one reverse scoop CF bonnet.

A reversed scoop would draw hot air out .... and if you still have a TMIC it will draw hot air through that too! Not good!
If you have gone the route of a FMIC then no scoop would be OK .... I'm sure the front facing scoop doesn't cause any more drag than slamming into the air with a FMIC does
