Big day tomorrow!
hello der lads, its a big day for me 2moro, my boyfriend is taking the car for a remap on the power fc.
i would appriciate it if you could share your experience, when u prepared for your remap?
does weather condition, tyre pressure, type of fuel you use etc important. i use two types of fuels, if im gettin late for work Vpower but i prefer tesco 99. after a map does it matter if i use either fuels?
thank uuuuu xx

stop using "txt spk" please, you've been told its not welcome prior to this, again.
use the same grade of fuel for optimum performance, stick to either T99 or Vpower.
Not a lot you can do about the weather, tyres should always be optimally inflated.
also, you really ought to try to post things like this in technical as they are technical.
We are happy to help but please do your bit in using good old fashioned English and in the correct sections.

Lighten up buddy Jez why the big deal here, the girl only asked for a bit of help with her car, not a literature lesson

If you take the car in running on its normal fuel, in my case Vpower then they will sort everything else out for you when your there.
Luckily they are used to adverse weather conditions etc so you will be fine.
They tend to like you better if the car is clean

Just what Johny693 said, and also make sure the car is well serviced, oils, coolant etc topped up and all ready for whats in store
You will throughly enjoy the car when you get it back

Again, just make sure it's running perfectly, and everything's spot on the way you want it mapped. Obviously it'll be mapped for whatever fuel you have in the tank...so I'd try to run it on that from then on.
But you could probably run it on Tesco 99 if you needed to without any ill effects(if mapped for V Power), although the best idea is just to ask the mapper and they will be able to give you a definite answer. With the Apexi ECU you'll have a commander anyway which will let you monitor knock etc anyway, and if you accidentally put some fuel with a lower octane rating in the tank, you'll soon know about it: with the commander showing an abnormal level of knock.

that's more than one word
I'm sorry if I find "txt spk" vile, disgusting and (possibly incorrectly) shows a distinct lack of thought.
There was a discussion about this very subject and it was deemed unacceptable, by the masses and then backed up by the administration.
Kareena has been pulled about it before and while I offered advice from the outset, I merely asked for a modicum of cooperation with respect the bbs.
I make no apology, use language correctly or lose it forever.

Sorry - it's in the T&Cs
All you keyboard warriors read THIS
The VERY best of luck with your remap though - it totally changes the car
Dan
Furthermore, within reason we require that you post in a literate manner using correct and understandable grammar. Drunken ramblings will be deleted as will posts written using excessive "text speak"

It's more important to be polite in my opinion(and probably the majority of Scoobynet), than it is to use perfect English. Most people use some form of shortened typing when they join a forum for the first time, because they're so used to texting, or using msn etc.
Can't say it bothers me one bit...but then again, I just try to get along with people: usually have better things to do with my time than put people down on the internet.

IMHO, it's all relative, but I was just backing up the fact that text speak isn't supported on Scoobynet.
Anyway back on topic - what increases are you hoping to get (what have you got now?)
