can a version 4 type r ecu be remaped? regards tony

As Darc says.. needs a replacement ecu.. Apexi or SimTek etc

my car runs 1.3 bar iv checked with 2 dif blitz boost guages is it possable its had a chip of sum sorts in japan as its still using the standard boost solonoid regards tony

yes quite possible.

if you pull back the carpet on passenger side below dash you will find the ecu kick plate.. remove and you will see the ecu.. usually they out a nice sticker on the ecu.. the only slight issue is usually the timing is fairly agreesive and it won't like uk fuel.

it could also have a touch of boost creep if you have a full decat on etc, 1.1bar is std so within boost creep expectations imo

nah no isues with the boost cut an it hits 1.3 an stays ther from roughly 3000 rpm

i have a v4 wrx and i usually hit 1.3 bar as well with no boost cut . my friend sti4 can go about 1.3 bar as well. we always thought that the V4 and above had a higher boost cut.

i did hit some form of a cut one time (boost/fuel) at 1.7+ bar. due to an issue in my car my boost peaked very high.
