Hi!

I am an owner of this "poor" sti. First of all I would like to thank you for great input, contacts and help. I really appreciate as it is hard to find a reputable service in area you don't know.
I know the displayed P0508 code stands for iddle Control. I have already bought IAC valve and it has been replaced. Unfortunatelly it didn't help. Car runs very poorly under acceleration (fuel cut). Driven at steady speed it runs quite ok. I have checked vacuum hoses and cleaned MAF. Still nothing. Thanks for any ideas.

cleaing a maf will not fix a dodgy maf .... i've had a foooked maf that looked brand new ... not a spec of dirt on it. Hestitation under acceleration is common with a broken maf. Mine ran fine but would hesitate and was slow and irratic when accelerating, changed the maf and it was all good again. Im not saying its def the maf but thay have a funny way of being the cause of all sorts of issues. Ive not tried it but have read that if you disconnect the maf whilst the car is idling and it stalls then maf is ok ... if it keeps running the its broke ... worth a try maybe
