Sunday night I was doin 15/20mph uphill and round a bend to the right (had 2 puntos infront)....road coming out of the bend with a give way then an old micra shot out of the give-way at over 50mph and would have wasted my car if I hadn't had quick reactions and moved to the left!
The micra left the ground as he left the give-way at the crest.
The guy was a loon and had no intention of stopping at his junction...could have killed us!
People will go crazy in anything!!! You just gotta drive well yourself nd keep on your toes at all times!

Thing is....whenever I go for a spirited drive I get NO problems!
When I am just driving below turbo and in boring mode I get **** all over the place.

last week I was nearly side impacted on a small roundabout by a mini-bus with Special needs passengers. I was nearly at work and was doin 20mph accros the roundabout and the mini-bus driver came onto the roundabout at about 35mph. Slammed on the anchors and avoided getting killed! AGAIN!!!!

He just zoomed straight across the roundabout not even btting an eyelid!!!

 

Doesn't matter what you drive...people will be idiots in anything!

 

SmileyScooby You are totally right. I drive to and from work and I usually drive at about 55 mph. And I get everyone driving up my *** overtaking me then slowing down trying to intice me into a race.

 

Bit of a silly quote that is, we wouldn't get the missus to sell her Corsa, Punto, Clio etc. just because a lot of them are driven by idiots..

Very stupid doing 140 on a single carriageway, but I bet a few on here have maxxed their Scoobs on a bit of road like his second run..

I did think carefully about the quote. Yes, I accept that virtually all brands are driven by muppets at some stage, but my point was set against my first experience of Subaru ownership 13 years ago. In the good old days I never saw an Impreza driven recklessly. Guess some of you criticising the quote won't remember the good old days - that's for pensioners like me.
