Question How much difference does PPP make on fuel economy?

Hi,
Pretty much as the title says, how much does having PPP fitted to the last 2l and 2.5l hawk eye STi's effect the mpg? I know that getting a STi you can't really think about economy but I'm just interested.
Cheers, Toby

It might even improve it. Remapping greatly improved mpg on my car before I upped the injectors and turbo. The PPP is a generic map though and not tailored to the individual car. It shouldn't make it worse day to day til you give it some beans!

Most people say they get a slight improvement in normal driving, but are more tempted to use the extra power and end up with it being worse.

Mine is worse by about 2mpg even driving carefully .

PPP wont make bugger all difference if you drive exactly the same. A custom map should be better ... an in fact if you are thinking of going PPP dont bother just get a custom map instead much better value long term!

My 04 STI was better on fuel after a remap by 2/3 miles to the gallon. Jay
