My Little Imprezza's
Posted this over on the SIDC, so better post it here too
Some shots of my little R/C Impreza's
My favourites, an RB5 replica and a Hawk-eye tribute to Colin McRae, both with their respective drivers names in the back windows and signatures on the roofs
The rally slag that gets abused
My race car - running on a top spec TRF 415 MS chassis and officially sponsored by Headblade (an American razor company). I've raced it a fair bit over the past few years and it's won a few events and come in the top ten in the world twice
The McRae tribute car with his rally replica car
The rally car at Loch Lomond a few years back. This picture came 2nd in the world owners club photo comp in 2005
A Type R replica that I made for a mate who owns the real car.
I sold it to him but missed it so much I made myself one too - but this time with some serious running gear! A TG10 Pro chassis was used (I think it's one of only a handful that were actually built and run in anger) and hopped up with a Duralinium chassis, carbon-fibre components, 2bhp HPI nitro engine, 2 speed gearbox and K&N air filter. This thing goes like a missile!
and finally a pic of most of the fleet together over the summer. There's a good few missing from the shot since I had run out of room!
all of my cars can be viewed individually at
Vintage Tamiya Radio Control Cars through to Modern Tamiya R/C - Home Page

It's taken over 10 years to get to this stage, I've almost managed to stop now
I've been a few world events, but only ever managed to get into the B final. Managed to win one or two of those, which was nice! Greatest ever was at the MuchMore GP a few years ago, I qualified in last place and took the lead on the last straight. The leader didn't try to defend on the straight because he thought I was lapping him I came up on him so quickly
them were the days
