This is stupid, It is happening to often now. I am a member of a VW forum too, VZI has a trader count, similar to feedback. It must be simple if they have it, so why do we not have it? I would like someone to explain why this minor investment in the forum is not happening?

you are the second person to ask his username and its in the first line of the thread! i even put it again in the post in BOLD, basically what happened is i got conned quite simple he said he had items for sale, i paid via paypal (i have filed a complaint to try and recover the money) and over a week later they havent turned up, i the last week i have messaged him three times and emailed him -i have had no reply, there is also another member on here who has had the same experience at the same time (different items purchased) i then get a message from someone last night to say he has already been banned from this forum and popped up using a different name, so i have asked scoobynet to investigate him, if paypal cannot sort it i will contact the police.

Hi,
here's the original sale thread:
https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...ery-cheap.html
I'm the other guy, who paid for solenoids and unfortunately no feedback since then and last login to the forum is made on 20th February..
I don't want to organize any sort of witch hunting, but I'm afraid jasongtr is right and for now i'm going today to write to paypal later when home.
cheers

There's a lot of this fraud going on at various forums atm. With me I only buy stuff from trusted users, say people with over 100 posts or have been on the forum for over 6 months

Have to say though it seems to happen more now than it did a couple of years ago. Seems to be a new thread every week saying I have been ripped off.

How have funded your paypal payments ??????
always use visa because if you talk with your visa card company you can free of charge and at your request tell them you need a "charge back" issuing on the transaction as the money has been stolen.
the offending persons paypal account will then go into a negative balance (if they do not have the funds in their bank to cover it) and it is then down to paypal to get this sorted with the guilty party, taking the owness away from yourself. You need to take advantage of this for your own safety.
when using paypal i only ever pay with my visa card just in case.
i agree its ok saying a feedback forum is coming but it needs a timeframe or this will all be repeated again and again.
shame how just a few can spoil it for everyone.

I was done too
I bought a rad off him and when it arrived it was twisted and had a leak in it. I have tried to contact him asking what does he want to do about it and haven't heard anything.
