Visited my nearest local dealer yesterday to collect some WRX mats for my forthcoming new car and they had a Dark Blue Mica WRX in the showroom. The car was not there last week when I went to order the mats. It has an A pillar mounted aerial which suggests this is a MY01 not MY02. Or has this aerial been retained for the MY02 after all ?

From what someone on here told me a few weeks ago the only differences are:

1. No A pillar aerial

2. Ignition switch light

WOW

What I am saying here is that there must still be a number of "old stock" cars lying around both here and on the continent. I bet that most of the cars sourced in the first part of this year, whether UK supplied or import will be MY01. Be interesting to see what model mine is when I collect on Saturday. Not that it matters

When I ordered mine last September, I was told that all Belgian supplied models that arrived subsequently would be coming through as 02 models.

Its defo' an MY01 cos the aerial is now in the rear screen...it wasnt at Monty's was it?
They told me that my import from Bentley's might be an MY01, well its MY02 cos I've seen it!
Monty's said some "old" vehicles are still around, they said some cars they have had were old stock!

IMHO the MY01 is now worth less than an MY02, just as a '51' reg car is worth less than a '02' reg car, even though could be only 1 day difference.
I would NOT now accept a MY01 car as a new car because its NOT.
It should be reduced in price to reflect that is an outdated model.

Cheers

BOB

4days 9hrs 14 mins untill collection

Edited to say that the MY02 cars have been in the UK since the end of November 2001.

In Australia there were a few differences between the MY01 and MY 02 including revised gear ratio's, additional keypad immobilisor, aerial and single CD player instead of 6 stacker.

Oh and my MY02 was about $2500 cheaper than the MY01 model
