300 - 350 bhp is plenty for the road mate.

I'm running nearly 290 BHP, still not enough, my car definately needs braking and handling mods before any more power though and that's where it gets expensive..

I read somewhere that 200 bhp per tonne is the starting point to make a car fun.

A humble WRX PPP is quoted at 190/tonne..(If it makes the claimed 261bhp)......That must be why Spec C owners look so happy

Depends on how good you are at driving. Do you want a point n' squirt car or something with plenty driveability.

I've not tried, but i'd like to have about 450 in a newage and i reckon high 3's in a classic would be similar.

I reckon if you had 450 though, it's that close, you'd probably want to try for 500.

The laws of diminishing returns are hurtful....

With a simple re-map, plus extras mine made 340 bhp (new-age) and it felt pretty quick.... two years and several thousand pounds later it has 390 bhp and really feels quick, but is it worth it ?

Probably not !

imho, the standard suspension, clutch and brakes couldn't cope so also needed up-grading.

LOL

dunx

P.S. Could have had a new STI (second hand) for what I've spent !

P.P.S. 250 bhp/ton ?
