Angry Search??!!

Maybe it's me but has the search function gone all ****?

Searching to find the best way to remove a Hawkeye front grille - type all manner of different words assciated with this into search but just get bloody random results!!

Right, i i'm ready to eat the old humble pie if someone can prove me wrong or just point out summit that i might be doing wrong.

If anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be much appreciated.

Just realised that the search doesn't include anything from pre-Scoobynet update from a few days ago,oh dear!

Doesn't explain the random results i've been getting though.

Which brings me to my next question - does this mean ALL previous Scoobynet threads have been vapourised, with it all the knowledge etc.

Please say this isn't so

Got to say that I've been disappointed as well with the results that search has thrown up - doesn't appear as good as before.

+1 here too.

Used to be really good. Now can't find older threads that I wanted to refer back to and its returning all manner of unrelated posts.

I agree it isn't working as well as it might or I can't get it to, let's put it that way.

I have posted in the Bugs section, maybe others can add their comments there, but let's keep it sensible. Explain what doesn't work and any findings rather than just write 'it is crap' LOL

+1.
Search has become useless since the update. Brings up unrelated topics to what I type in!

There is no need to have multiple threads on the same subject.

Searched was goosed well before any software upgrade, the fact it hasn't improved is an annoyance, but we'll get there in the end.

As mentioned in some of the other posts, try putting quotes around your search criteria.

eg. "tyres" "winter"
or. "Hawkeye" "front" "grille" "remove"
or. "dccd" "rolling road"

Also try to search on one forum to narrow the results. This highlights the benefits gained when people post in the correct forums
