Chipping a Forester!
#1
Anyone know what the possibilities are for chipping a Forester Turbo S? A friend of a colleague of mine is looking at a Superchips kit, but I wondered if anyone had any other ideas / experience?

Read same artical. It also had a "prodrive " brake conversion. ST or STB not sure. They used it as a camera car etc. They really rated it big time.
Its what I would Buy if I had the money.
Dont you think they kook "Cool"??

I looked seriously at a Forester to go with the STi. It drove really well (incredibly smoothly after the STi) but we were after a car with a high driving position. Although the car is tall it has a low seating position, so we gave it a miss.

I must admit I'd look at the PPP if it was me, but I don't think this guy wants to spend that much money...
I know this has been mentioned before - I remember someone saying that the Superchip is a bit dodgy and that the Link is loads better but I can't remember what the justification / reasoning was - anyone with a better memory?

We looked very closely at a Forester a few months back. Subaru will only sell the PPP in combination with a set of 17" wheels. The regular price is about £3.5k.
In fairness, I think that they are prepared to deal on this figure as the wheels they want to use are the old SuperTs that will not go over 4-pot brakes.
Presumably, the Forester is the only use they can find for what must be old stock of a wheel that will no longer fit Imprezas.
Nice car though but it definitely needs a bit more go than standard. I understand that there is a new model imminent that will have the '01 improvements in chassis and interior. I haven't seen a picture so wouldn't know what the lights are like!
