Big favour needed - pics of reverse side of 'A' pillar trims
Hi Guys,
Can anybody with a UK 05/06/07 take a pic of the reverse side of their 'A' pillar trim?
I'm wanting to fit the UK spec alarm ultrasonic heads to my euro import 07 STi. I've been told by a well know authority on the subject that the 'A' pillar trims should have a pair of ribs on the reverse side which act to reinforce the screw for the ultrasonic heads.
My original trims don't have these ribs and strangely neither do the new ones I ordered through Subaru (ordered for 07 Type UK).
Just trying to establish what trims do have these ribs on them i.e. year and model of car plus part number on the back of the trim.
Any help very gratefully received!
Thanks, Neil

I took my OEM (MY06 UK) trim off to replace it with a pillar pod item, so i had to unscrew the sensor and screw it on the the new trim. I don't have any pics but the screw was just into the plastic, they weight absolutely nothing so won't need any ribs to reinforce the trim. Just screw it into the one you have ordered, job done.

Thanks Tony,
Yeah, I'm getting a bit fed up with trying to sort this out and it's not really a big deal TBH so I think I'll do as you suggest.
Do you still have the trim you took off? Would be interested to know exactly where on the trim to drill through for mounting and cables.
Thanks, Neil
