What do you reckon?

Does anyone know of a place that can do "what if's" in terms of stickers etc etc?

ta,
Matt.

Dont do it mate.
Looks far better as standard.
I've got one as well and reckon its the mutts nuts as it is.
Looks a bit 'max power' ish with that on it
Only my opinions of course.

jas

Have you had it dynoed?

Hi Jas,

Good points... I'm not too sold on it, yet... hence the 'what if' question

As for Dyno...yeh, 265bhp and 257lbs of torque

Have you had yours done?

I have a RB5WR and would be ashamed to mutilate a limited edition car.

Don't do it.

Matt

Mine is bog standard WRSport.
Havent had it dynoed and would be interested to see what it puts out.
What mods have you dont to yours?
A mate used to have a MY99 standard turbo with a WRsport back box and put out 240bhp.
Any ideas how much a standard WRSport should put out.
I know the mags say 237 but I reckon it must be more.

hi,

All I've got on mine is PPP and a decat downpipe (not even sure if the other cat has gone). As for standard output, I'm not 100% sure to be honest... I would imagine that it may be a little higher than normal.

Next on the list is an AP Cool Air induction kit and possibly a BPM Twister back box, and some other 'goodies' (want over 300bhp really).

Matt.

My 'standard' RB5 wr sport was dyno'd at 242bhp and 256lbs torque @ 4100rpm if that helps

As for the stickers i think it looks fine without them, now a roof scoop on the other hand........

I had Toyo's on my MY94 and they are superb (better than the P-Zero's imho), that's what is going on the RB5 next.

thats what i heard.
still got plenty of tread on mine but will be putting those on next.
does it sound better with the down pipe?
how easy is it to put one on and what is the performance/insurance cost difference?

sound better... well, I think (if anything) it's a slightly deeper sound, and possibly more sexy at high revs.

Re: putting it on etc, I was there when Roger Clarke put the decat on my MY94 and it looked like pain in the ****! ( they had to cut a bolt etc ). It definately makes a difference performance-wise ( I attribute my 265bhp to the decat really ), the car pulls stronger etc, oh and it smells like jet fuel !

As for insurance, it didn't make any difference with Tesco's, they know about the mods (i.e. 'full' exhaust ).

ta,
Matt
