Anti Lag or Mapped Pops?

Anti Lag or Mapped Pops?
Hi,
I love the sound of ALS and ive been told pops n bangs can be mapped too. Wondering if anyone has any video's of each to compare?
I ask as its ECU time, trying to decide between the more expensive Simtek or the Apexi. Any other benifits of running the Simtek other than Maf less ALS and Launch control?? Does it come with a cool display to let you edit boost, monitor Det and run different boost levels for improved fuel consumption?

Sorry to be a party pooper, but peopel who feel they have 'anti-lag' on a road car only have it mapped for pops and bangs. Anti-la would make short order of your turbo, which would be lucky to make it past hundreds of miles.
If you doubt that I say then ask Simon Roe or any other reputable mapper.....

Funny that then as i,ve had Anti-lag on 4 different cars now via Autronic ECU and NEVER once has a turbo gone on me, all turbos have covered into the thousands of miles too..........
DON,T believe everything you hear or read..........

i use to get serious gunshots on my standard ecu. my power fc was mapped with pops and bangs but sounded no where near to loud as before. the way to a loud pop is by serious overfueling alot

lol ok.
The esence of ALS you can im sure have different strengths. Im sure fully antilag, or als which actually does keep the boost up will chew a std turbo. im talking more cosmetic als/very mild als. i dont expect my turbo to take enough als to actually make a performance difference.
If i can get decent pops with the apexi. What other reasons are there to choose the SIMTEK? I dont intend on doing any launches..? Apexi is dual map right?

AntiLag on Solaris here ... great for the child inside and seems to work for performance too - particularly when combined with the flat throttle shifting I have
As Jim said earlier - we gave his some pops and bangs. Easy enough to add some sound effects in to a map - most (not all) mappers will do it if you ask them.
