Which Exhaust - Blitz or Revolution?
Hi, have recently bought my first WRX (53 Plate) which is completely standard.
I do have a shopping list but I have to do things one at a time. First things first then-which exhaust system? At this stage its only back box and mid section but which one?
I have narrowed it down to two. Revolution and Blitz. What I would like to know is which is the best for long term power gains (I am aiming for the 280 mark eventually) and which one you would have and why.
If there are good alternatives then please let me know. Many thanks.

Revolution are at the quiet end of things but are usually engineered for performance....blitz are usually louder
At 280 BHP target I'd go for something loud LOL

Thanks fellas-your responses have been great and given me something to think about.
In respect of alternatives though, I've found a full de-cat system from Scooby Clinic in Chesterfield all fitted for a pint under £500. Has anyone got one of those? What are they like re quality and volume? Presumably full de-cat is better that rear box and mid section???
Thanks again

If you're going for a full decat you'll need to have the car remapped (pretty sure Scoobyclinic can arrange this), and that'll cost at least another £500 (unless you've already got a licence?).
Should sound pretty monstrous though...

Spoken like a true Blitz man
A lot of systems are loud yes but, & this is only my opinion, most are what I would call "gobby" loud. Rather than deep bass goes right through you & makes your bones vibrate loud.
GOBBY COBRA sound clip
Then listen to the deeper note of the Blitz Nur Spec R & tell me the hairs on the back of your neck didn't twitch just a little bit.
BLITZ sound clip
I am totally biased though as I have a Blitz on my "not so" Stealthy Wagon.

Just replaced my magnex with a blitz, it sounded nice, and was good quality but nowhere near as loud or aggresive as the nur spec. If we are chucking other ones into the mix, how about Haywood & Scott?

Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe (only 2 BHP loss over decat pipe & MOT friendly)
H&S Up pipe
H&S Centre pipe straight through
Plus the short centre section I already had from the PPP exhaust.
I looked into the H&S backbox as well as Ninja, TSL GroupN & Cobra but went for the Blitz NUR Spec S & have no regrets.

Now I have absolutely no idea what to get! Your responses have been great.
What about this though-I spoke to Scooby clinic today and have booked myself in for next Sat. They have a try before you buy thing where they will fit the exhaust on your car, you can look and listen and if you don't like it you can try another and keep going until they put one on that you like. I think that might be the way forward for me because I have not got a clue which one to buy now!
Has anyone else done this?

Sounds (no pun intended) a good idea. Have a taste of the full menu before picking your main course. Make sure you listen to it on the road from inside. What sounds ok standing behind will not sound the same on the move. Acceleration & a feathered throttle will give the worst & best each has to offer.
Good luck with your choice.Take your time as you only want to have to do it the once.
