Default How much is labour for a headgasket change?

Can anyone give me an idea of how it would cost me to have my headgasket changed and heads re-skimmed if needed? I have the engine out and manifolds off...

did you take the engine out by yourslelf ???

If so, in all honesty, the hard bit is over, get a manual and get the heads off , circa £100 - £180 to get heads skimmed (if needed) , new gaskets and torque it all up , job done.

No i havn't taken out my old one yet i bought this replacement engine with a blown gasket so i still need to fit this after the old engine out. Thats why im thinking about leaving the engine at a garage while i take out the old one.. Want the car back on the road before the weekend.
