This looks ok for your money
Auto Trader UK - SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 GL 4WD 5dr Estate

Clearly it's not a turbo and it's an auto, but for your budget it looks clean, looked after and very low milage

Hi mate, i've just sold my 1.8 wagon it was a 1993, nice motor had all the body kit put on, drove fine got lots of looks, sold it for £700. But i've now just bought a 2000 W reg 2lt sport wagon and what a big difference more refined and alot smoother well worth the hard look round to get a good one, i paid less than £2000 for it. I will say make sure that clutch and gearbox is sound.

thanks for that mate, thats exactly what i wanted to know,
i think i am going to go for the 2.0 wrx as they have come up cheaper on the insurance than the sport,
i have found a couple that i am interested in but just need to sell my car first!
