hi i have a hks super-dragger exhaust and some one a work thought it would be clever to stick a bottle in the end . when i looked i could see what looks like brillo pads should there have been a gauze or something there to stop it coming out because it looks like iy could unravel and come out cheers j

im unclear to what has happened,was the bottle put in it a joke ?
on my HKS backbox the inside of it rotted away and the brillo type material you say was chuffin out, i had to cut the box open remove the wire wool type stuff and re-weld the box back together.

does it look like a black version of the stuff listed here: exhaust wadding(enlarge the picture for a better idea)

no,this is a metal type of brillo pad type wire wool stuff.
basically i left the wadding in place, it olds its on shape,the wire wool stuff is pushed against it to hold it in place.
mine has been removed 18 mths now to no performance lack.
you can try pullin it out the end pipe but its like spot welded to the inside of the box so is very hard to get it out, hence i opened the box up near the end not seen area and removed it that way
