Default whats the difference between the blobeye and bugeye

can someone shed some light on this for me please as i currently have a bug eye sti and my mate is looking to buy a blobeye he has seen 2 he likes 1 is from a dealer and it's on a 06 reg and it's still a 2lt engine and the other is a 05 reg i went with him to have a look at both cars and had a look under the bonnet and both cars didn't have a sti strut brace and a sti rad cap. but my bugeye does so does this mean the blob eye didn't come with these or has someone taken them off to sell?

all help would be great on this.

ps both cars come on bridgestone tyres and they look like semi slicks is this the standard tyre on the car?

05 onwards was fitted with Bridgestone RE070 tyres which are very good in the dry, a bit scary in the wet, and give a harsh ride which is not everyone's cup of tea. I loved them They also enlarged the hubs to cope with the stresses these tyres create, as well as widening the track and lengthening the wheelbase as the Spec C. Inverted struts, sweep dials and possibly HID headlights too.

Blingy alloy rad caps are usually aftermarket purchases, and only a few of the JDM special editions (S204, RA-R etc) came with added chassis components such as strut braces.

Front geometry was altered to improve steering "feel".

Funny you mentioned this... My mate was looking under my bonnet the other day and he also commented that I should've had an STi brace on mine as standard......

No STI Type UK cars are bare spec, I.M. wanted as much profit as possible, so any "tasty" bits were deleted from the build spec., and sold at a profit by the importers....

In the 90's they fitted air-con in the U.K. to cars to add more to their profits, even though most U.K. cars could have had it fitted in production....

Hmmmm.
