I've bought two 2nd hand scoobs from r n golden of huddersfield, travelling down from newcastle to do so. Never had a problem with either car (touches wood for luck for his present scoob!) I thought the service was good and i would certainly look at them 1st when buying my next car.
Hope that helps

Stopped dealing with them after they give me a price for PD spring kit inc fitting and then tried to charge me double after it was fitted. They also only changed the pads on my mum's impreza when new discs were also needed and shouldn't have been on the road without them. By the time she got home and I checked the work and receipt the new pads were knackered and I had to fit new disc and pads myself.

When I was looking to purchase my current Scoob I went there and found them not helpful at all
Ended up going to Montys who were much better, shame they have no Scoob franchise now.

I bought a 2004 WRX from R N Golden last Friday and thought they were good all round. Car was presented in immaculate condition and all the work they said they would do on it has been done and on time (service, MOT, alloy refurbishment etc). Having said that, it's when things go wrong with a car or service that you really find out what a dealership is like.
I bought my previous WRX from Monty's in Sheffield when they were still a Subaru dealership and they were excellent for sales and aftersales. Real shame that they are no more (unless you want a Suzuki!).
