Friday evening my friend picked up his uk ralliart evo 6, drove it about 30 miles over friday and saturday still getting used to the car so no serious driving going on, next thing rattle bang oil light on....a dead evo!!...he got the car from JCT cars in rotherham, unfortunatley the owners away til next friday!..still in shock it's let go...deffo put me off evo's, told him to get his cash back!!!

yeah hopefully jct will sort him out with a refund for what turned out to be a ****ter!!
and no not all evo's will die after 20-30 miles of regular driving, just put me right off em!! stickin to scoobs i reckon!

How will they refund him?? isn,t it a case of once your mate had driven off that,s it, it,s his car now so to speak?? they,re not going to know he wasn,t driving steady, to them he could of been hooning it, you sure you weren,t??

There have been plenty of people who've bought Imprezas and had them let go within a week. It's just life unfortunately - sometimes you don't get much luck.

yeah if i recall it's 30days minimum..maybe 3 months when buying from a garage!

A mate of mine has a garage and is a mechanic, he sells a few cheap cars and always says there is a 30 day warranty because as a trader if he does not then as said there is an automatic 60-90 day warranty he says.

Hope this helps, When it happens to a car it really sucks but be lucky it did not get bought from a normal person or there would be even less come back.......

as long as he keeps his cool, its worth speaking to the dealers concerned before posting on here.
as already said, every car is a mechanical device with can break at any time.
