Morning, do i really have to cut the front bumper on my P1, so as to fit a FMIC. I really dont fancy it, as i have seen some right abortion jobs. Or is there possibly a kit to smarten things up.

Unfortunately it does need cutting, it took me about 4 hours to cut mine because i wanted it to be perfect. Just spend some time on it getting it right and all will be good.![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Ive also seen a lot of scoobs(97-)with huge holes cut in the inner wing for the pipe to go through. If the wing is removed or just even unbolted the pipe will go through the existing hole without the need to butcher the inner wing. Another nice touch is to line the hole with some silicone hose.

Never done this but my advice would be measure, measure then measure again then cut. Just take your time and all is good. I have used a product that goes around the screen on motorbikes to finish off cuts like this before you can get it from Halfords or any good bike shop and its available in differant colours.

What I did was buy an aftermarket fibreglass jobbie and cut that to fit, some companies even doing ready cut. That way you can keep the old one and not lose the chance of returning it to standard at a later date.

Maybe try and get yourself a second bumper to cut and get it sprayed to match when you have got it looking spot on. I found taking a little off the bumper at a time and offering it up, then trimming as needed then repeating until I was happy with the fit was the way to go. As mentioned before measure, measure then measure again then cut!! Just take you time and remember removing too little is better than removing to much!!!!

Other than buying a Lateral or Pace kit but then aircon has to be lost or messed with.
