I wouldn't buy a car if it's had a respray, also I think the starting bid is too expensive. If a car has had a respray and different bumpers I would walk away but that's just me.

Hmmm sounds dodgy to me, just the fact that what the hell is it, it says its a 2000 but year of manufacture is 1996, its been resprayed and rebuilt from the shell up, they want 3k+ for it.... it has a 2005 wrx engine in it (223bhp/225ps)...
The description is very confusing, personally if i were looking for a scoob, i would look elsewhere (ie pistonheads) for a nice green 1999 reg scoob with 41k on the clock and not ??k which this car has done (45k on the original engine and 30+ on the new engine??) its not just the engine that wears!!!!

![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
He says API altered the clocks when the new engine was fitted so it showed the right miles for the new engine. Is that legal? The new engine may of only done 30k but the rest of the car hasn`t.
Iv sent david at api a pm with a link to this ad as i think he will find it of some interest.

Well sonic blue on MY00 cars were imports only (eu turbo's) and are quite rare (my last one a few months back went for about 5k with 46k on the clock with some very nice mods
) and dont be picky about the colour, it reduces your option greatly, its nice to get the colour your after but in the end its the quality of the car your buying, not the colour that determains what sort of car you end up with ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

PS I never liked green cars until I bought a green mondeo as a runabout, it was actually a nice colour to live with

We don't alter clocks when engines are fitted. That is illegal. It is also an electronic speedo and there is no way to do what he claims with kit we have here. lt is a specialist job done by various people in the likes of Exchange and Mart and Auto trader.

I bought my RA from David. Fantastic car and a nice chap to deal with ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
Sticking to one or two colours does reduce choice and I agree with the comments but if you intend to keep the car for any length of time I would hold out for the colour you want. I had to have some sort of WRC edition. You could argue that the RA is the baby of the WRC edition bunch (Type R, STI RA) but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Sonic Blue is a lovely colour.

PM'd you.
No to the top and bottoms. The middle one doesn't look too bad.
Strawberry Cars of Chorley : Mint Condition Impreza Turbo
This looks good for a UK car.
Subaru : Subaru Impreza WRX STi V5 330Bhp Import
Quite clean looking. Money spent but needs a few hundred to get it just so.
