Default Exhausts

Hi,

I am looking to buy a system for an 05 plate STI V8. I will have it decatted throughout and will be bacbbox (preferably angled), centre section and uppipe. I want it to be loud and a bit obnoxious lol the neighbours are used to it. I dont have much experience with scoobs but i would also like to keep the lovely burble.

These are my options i have whittled it down to:

H & S
Blitz-nur spec R
RCM team ice.

Any ideas welcome cheers guys.

I have Blitz Nur Spec S (2.5 diametre compared to Nur Spec R which is 3inch) with afterburner de-res centre it sounds fantastic its at the limit for my tolerance.

My made up system is louder than a scoobyclinic CAT back 3inch system so god only knows what a the Nur spec Type R would be like with up pipe etc may be dare I say it a little too much if your daily driver (or over 30 like me)(only just though)

Blitz bulid quality is very nice - got mine second hand so saved a lot of cash keep your eyes open £270 including a brand new de-res afterburner centre

Hayward & Scott all day long.. angled exit backbox.
Pops and bangs and is noisy.

Hayward & Scott build quality is second to none, not mass produced. Speak to Ian at Hayward & Scott. There was a group buy on SNET, dont know if its still going on.

I have an 04 wrx and have had the up-pipe decatted and a second cat bypass, centre section and back box, all Hayward & Scott

do you like Hayward & Scott by any chance or are you sponsered by them LOL

Get the pops and bangs with Blitz sounds ace

also had Cobra back box with de-res centre on my old 2001 WRX good value for money very loud but build not great ie wields went rusty and not smoothed down looked rough and ready 2.5 system

Had Prodrive backbox with PPP centre on my 2005 WRX good build quality very sedate just about get the scooby rumble good if use scooby on motorway on reg basis 2.5 system

Had Scooby clinic backbox with de-res centre on my 2006 WRX hawkeye sounded very nice - 2.5 system

went Blitz with the 2006 STI sounds awsome pops bangs (slightly) (would recomend hearing a few in the flesh one mans wine is anothers poisen) 2.5 system

enjoy

as I saw go second hand if you can you will save a fortune

ps nothing wrong with mass produced if its at the top of its game

Go for it mate to be fair most of the top brands Hayward, Blitz, RCM, TSL, PRODRIVE all top items just vary slightly in noise level as I say nothing like hearing in the flesh

enjoy whichever you go for
