The wagons were narrower to fit into a lower jap tax bracket.........people paid a higher sales tax for the wider saloon LOL
The bumpers of the Wagons are narrower than the saloons as well.

I Pm'd HT Autos about this a while ago and they said they swap them about frequently ?
I don't know if the mold is slimmer at the sides (never heard the above before?) but the fixing points to the car should be the same.

HT Auto's are more qualified than me to give you info as they do this on a daily basis
The wagons are deffo slimmer than the saloon by about 1.5 inches to avoid additional taxes and AFAIK the bumpers are not a straight swap.
