Getting myself a little excited at the moment.. and it probably won't happen but....

I've been offered a 1.6 2 Door Coupe for very little money. Not got too many details at the moment, but It's an import and it's a bag of sh!te

I've spoken to my insurance company, who will under no circumstances insure me on a turbo or allow me to fit a turbo engine to it , but it looks like they will allow me to fit anything else (They've previously insured me with engine conversions)

At first I thought about a 2.0 from a Sport / GL, but the yanks have a 2.5 Version... has anyone any experience of these, and does anyone know whether the block from a Legacy or similar might fit.

Any other suggestions with what to do with it are welcome

Andy

Cheers

Andy,

Before this gets moved to "drivetrain".....

All of the EJ series blocks are nigh on identical, so are all of the bolt on's.

Heads, and manifolds will vary, and you need to make sure that you stay within MY's. The electrics may be your biggest problem.

Mark.
