HELP ME KEEP MY SCOOB !
#1
I've been made redundant today - Rather a bizarre feeling
Our whole company is going down the pan.
So, if any of you IT types need web people (Design/build/test - all disciplines) let me know. I worked with many, very talented people - who have been right royally shafted by Sales/Directors.
I'm experienced in Project Management and Testing. CV available on request.
If I don't come up with something in a couple of months, my pride and joy will have to go to another home...
I'll probably find something soon, but I quite fancy working with/for some of you guys.
Cheers,
Squizz.
PS. My email address can be found in my profile (above).

Andy? You too? !
Aren't we a pair, eh? I'm sorry to hear that, mate.
Hmmm...Gotta check to see if my scoob finance is covered for redundancy. Trouble is I was self-employed when I started that, and I don't think it is!
Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

Chaps.
Hit Jobserve big time, there is currently a whole raft of Intergration/Application/Web contracts doing the rounds.. If you know anything about web development/packaging you should be quids in..
Me, I'm a Infrastructure Architect on NT/W2K but there aren't any of them doing the rounds at the mo, so I'm totally shagged at present..

Squizz and Andy,
Sorry to hear about your lost jobs. Bummer.
Squizz especially, something that might be of use. CBS Appointments (Agency) are holding an open day at the Abbey Hotel in Malvern on Monday 12th Feb 4pm to 8pm.
This is excatly the kind of skills they are looking for amongst others.
I do know that CBS are a major agency for many of the "Defence" related companies around this region (DERA, GCHQ etc.) and also the "Blue Chip" companies.
Might be worth a visit.
More info on page 46 of today's "Malvern Gazette" but maybe also in the Worcester Evening News. Failing that check out:

Sorry to hear about the bad news - I've been there myself (made redundant by a well-known pop band - have had to re-train as a lecturer!!) and only in the last 6 months have I been able to buy my Scooby.
I did try alot of online places, and got sent alot of IT (web design) vacancies, so do not despair!
You've probably be told/thought of this before, but hope it helps.....
At the meet, let me buy you a drink
Regards,
Dan

Sorry to hear about the redundancies chaps.
You know the saying: As one door closes, another one opens.
But sometimes they open just a little bit wider!
In the meantime, there are vacancies at our place for a refreshment technician and a broom handling operative. Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers everyone!
I'm following up all avenues - Jobserve, Gisajob, CBS, Agencies, word of mouth, etc...
Something will come up soon, I'm sure.
In the meantime, if anyone wants a site of theirs re-branding, bespoke graphic work, or a site produced from scratch then please contact me to discuss. Why waste my management skills in the meantime when I can muster real talent from my previous colleagues!
I'll keep you all informed.
