hi there i need a new engine for my 2.0 sport 4wd 1999 facelift model non turbo or how easy is it for a turbo engine conversion e.g. wrx , turbo 2000, or sti. I was wondering does anyone know where and the cost of a 1999 impreza 2.0 awd engine

A lot of hassle as you'd have to upgrade the gearbox, clutch, brakes... all sorts to cope with the extra power.
May be easier to sell the shell and buy an Impreza turbo. For what an engine will cost alongside the other modifications required, it's not really financially worth it fella.
Plus the insurance thing comes into play. For some reason converting a non-turbo into a turbo and doing it properly, in many cases increases the insurance to more than a normal turbo would cost to insure.
