Default does filling the gearbox on a classic also fill the centre diff

filling the gearbox on a classic impreza im assuming that also fills the centre differential aswell i guess or is that not true and theres another part to fill the rear

trying to diagnose where a leak is comming from, you can smell the oil from the passenger rear side strong but that might be just the wind if that makes sence

dont seem to loose oil over night though, just when the cars driven fast which makes me also think the centre diff but hard to diagnose,,,, without removing the box anyway

Yes the central diff is directly joined to the gearbox so uses the same oil.

The centre diff is a stand alone unit joined to the rear of the gearbox. It is a sealed unit filled with a silicon or graphite type grease and oil in the gearbox cannot flow into the centre diff. If it did I guess the centre diff would stop operating its front-rear LSD function.
