Quick Ecutek qusetion
On the niteshift here
Is it possible to lower the rev limit slightly while getting my v5 Type R remapped?
Reason being I'm booked in for an Andy F remap next month & I don't see the point in the limiter being set so high as standard in these. I'm not sure to be honest what RPM it's set at as i've hit 8k before & no sign of it.
Just thinking from a safeguard point of view...engine is pretty much standard power wise apart from forged bottom end.

It's possible to alter the rev limiter on the Newage Denso ECU
Just ask Andy on the day he maps the car I'd leave it as it is though, no point in the rev limiter cutting in when overtaking an asda truck on the A69 LOL

Good stuff. Even if he could bring it down to say 7900 for example - nothing major. I just dont see the point in the limit being set at over 8k when your power & torque could be tailing off a lot earlier. Seem like a recipe for bottom end disaster to me(Again!!)
