Default keypad??

Hi,

ive just bought an 03 plate sti type uk and after a bit of playing ive found a little drawer below the steering wheel to the right that opens out and has a keypad in it. it looks like a factory fitted item, does anyone know what this is?

Basically the keypad is there for the alarm functions on the vehicle, you can get it to set various things on the car like ultrasonic sensitivity, door open beeps, battery voltage, and open/close beeps. and also can be used to disarm using the pincode in the operators manual if you have one.
