Subaru still haven't got any as 'standard', has anyone fitted some and who / what would you recommend?

Definately recommend the rally armors.

Subaru do now have a set for the STI hatch but they are absolute c**p especially when they cost £150 plus fitting

I just watched the installation video, I can't believe they actually tell you to drill a hole in the chassis as one option! Did you guys fit these yourselves? Are there still no 'exposed' mounting holes on the front - haven't purchased my car yet.

I really wouldn't have the confidence to do this I would be petrified of damaging the bodywork, do you think a dealer would fit these for me not being one of their standard parts?

Fitted mine myself. Easy to do, I just followed the video and didn't do any drilling.

I know what your saying about confidence though. Only had my car an hour with 16 miles on the clock and I was pulling the wing to bits fitting mine

The wife couldn't watch lol

Thought it was better than the car ending up like this

Yeah I saw those picks a while back as well hence the question. Presumably they have worked?

I have ordered ny Sti Hatch and the dealer is fitting the Subaru flaps but has offered to fit for free Rally Amor ones if I supply them. Has anyone seen or had the Subaru ones fitted and if so what do they think of them? I like the Hatch as it is a little more understated than the previous model and on this basis the Subaru flaps which are plain with no logo would be better for me appearance wise. I think they are the same material as the RA ones - PSPE?

I've seen the Subaru ones and I thought they were to small to do any good, as in not wide enough

+1 for the RA's

They are pretty understated really, mine are black with grey logo's on a dark grey car. But be prepared for a £30 import duty charge though when you pick them up from your local sorting office....

Presumably you mean beyond the outside of the tyre? How far do they extend from the car body at the smallest point an inch / 25mm?

Bit duanting at first pulling bits off your new car, but fine in the end-

Can I ask those who have bought RA ones did you have hassle trying to buy through the American site? They won't take Credit Cards for overseas orders and PayPal accounts must be verified. I found a uk site - modified scoobys - but you can't choose the colour of the logo.
