24hrs till Scooby!
Well, I have been browsing about the forum for a wee while now so I thought it was about time I introduced myself.
I'm Ian from Glasgow and I am just about to fly down to Gatwick tomorrow morning to pick up my first Scooby STi.
I was a VX nut since I was 17 starting out with a 1.0L corsa-c:
Then after the shear power of the 1.0L was not enough I moved onto a 1.8SRi which had some choice engine mods, inlet & exhaust manifolds, fast road cams, remap etc, kicking out about 160ish BHP (I ran the red wheels well over two years ago now):
I then moved onto an Astra H 1.9CDTi runing a DTUK box which gave me 200ish BHP and 340 ft/lb which was great, but then I needed more again:
Now in the next 24 hrs I will be picking this Scooby STi up from Dave in Gatwick and bringing it back to Scotland:
Roll on 330-340bhp and big fuel bills!

You aint seen the service costs yet fuel bills are minor compared to that
Parts are expensive the running costs will atleast double that of your astra (I also run a 1.9 CDTI but mine isnt tuned and just a lowly 120ps 16v model ) and an STI.
Good luck with the new car though
