Default strange backbox

When changing my exhaust the other day i noticed a strange thing above the backbox, id never seen one before there is a weld coming off the pipe and on the there is a closed cylinder type thing(shaped abit like a torpedo) first thing i thought was its a bomb like in the speed movie where i cant go under 60mph or something Anyone got any ideas i cant find any on the net, will get a pic up tomorrow night
cheers

What make is the exhaust?

I have seen one type of exhaust like this. I think it was a HKS with the torpedo shaped thing you mention. Not sure what it does though.

Is it like this?

If so

Review was from the 350Z but gotta be the same thing
