Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum and hopefuly I will be able to join your community soon since I am very interested in buyng a WRX. I have found one quite a good offer, 2001 WRX with 60k for £4300. However, simple carcheck showed that the car was stolen and recovered. Questions are, is it safe to buy such a car, if yes, are there any additional checks that I should do? Is the price right for it? It is with a dealer and they claim to have service history and proven milage.
Also, in general, are there any common faults to look for on 2001 WRXs?
Sorry for so many questions, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance

id say you want to knock off £700 on that price for a stolen recovered , its catagorised c or d and it'll be hard to sell on !!
as above stevie says there are plenty at that price without the cat c or d.
i bought one on ebay last year with fsh 60,000 ish miles for £3500 then found it was a cat c write off and backed out .
good luck with what you buy

I have recently bought a 53 plate WRX from a dealer with 78k miles so a bit higher than ideal but i got it for 5k so you should be able to do better with the money you have!!

Having followed stolen cars at various speeds, I can categorically say I would not touch one. Imprezas are generally stolen for parts or for use in crime. The people who chose to utilise Imprezas for such tasks I would suggest, are highly ulnikely to drive them with some respect. Avoid
