.....if you didn't declare the original six points on the proposal, await a seven day notice of cancellation letter the day after you tell them.......

Dear all,
When I got insured on my scooby (I am 23) I had six points on my drivers licence. They requested to see proof of my licence, which I never got round to doing. I have since been done again, and am up to ten points. The insurers now say they will withdraw my cover if I do not give them sight of my licence. I opbviously have to show them my licnence now. As I have more points on then when I took the cover out, and can they put the premium up, or even cancel the policy? Any suggestions/remedies welcomed.
Cheers

Sorry to hear about the points.
You should definately send them a copy of your licence.
Presuming you advised them of the 6 points at the time of policy inception, and as a result they were fully aware of this (i.e. they took this into account when they quoted) then there should not be a problem. Any loading as a result of the most recent convictions should only be applied at policy renewal.
Any problems give me a ring and I will discuss further.

Being in the insurance trade could you give me a little advice. Girlfriend (who is a named driver on my policy) recently got 3 points for speeding. Should I tell the insurance company (Admiral) now or wait till renewal date (Aug).

P.S. I think I may have spoke to you breify at Outlon Park. When you arrived you came across to chat thinking you recognised my number plate. Black MY98 Type R

Yup,
It was me.
I would suggest that it is best to advise them now....just drop them a line and advise them that you are mentioning it now as it is a material fact and that you don't want to over look it at renewal. There should be no change in premium until renewal....at that time they may decide to load the premium slightly.
Any queries give me a ring....0113 250 0377....or catch me at Donno at the weekend...
