I can't tell.

I think we have the Version 8 in Australia. Well that's what it's sold as.

as we missed out on the V7.

There a great car anyway, if a little "Laggy", the turbo doesn't really come on boost till 4K, just a little late for my tastes.

the rest of the car is a dream, great handling, huge brakes etc etc.

just needs a little work in the turbo department.

The new WRX STIs are called the MY01 New age STI and the MY02 new age STI. There is no version 7 and there is no version 8. In the old shaped STIs every year they called it version so on.For example the MY99 STI was called the version 5 and the MY00 STI was called the version 6. In Australia people and some tuners are calling the MY01 STI the version 7 and the MY02 STI the version 8 to not confuse the two new models. This however is not the official name from Subaru. The official name for a MY01 STI is "NEW AGE MY01 WRXSTI" and for a MY02 it is NEW AGE MY02 WRXSTI.

Cheers,

Wrexy.
