I'm so pleased to see Driver Training as the Number 1 ..... it is sometimes missed that a skillful driver can effectively add many BHP over a novice driver, simply by their skill behind a wheel.

Driver training aside, the best mods i've done are:
1 Brakes- 4 pots with good pads/discs made a massive difference
2 ARB's+drop links- again, quite an amazing transformation
3 Tyres- good tyres will make good use of the above two
4 Air-de-cat exhaust and decent panel filter
5 Ecu- A mappable ECU will see you a good increase in power
The re-map you really need to get with the exhaust/filter, plus i'd get the later map sensor(to run over 1.1 bar boost), and a set of 440cc injectors. These will only add £120 or so to the ecu bill, but well worth it.

1. Tyres are the ONLY thing keeping you on the road.
2. Brakes - obviously
3. Suspension see 1.
4. Power !
5. Driver training.
My reasoning is that by the time you get to 4, the car is a different animal, and you have to learn again !
dunx
P.S. I went 4 1 2 3 LOL.... only 5 to go

The D.V adds no power and causes problems and loss of performance in some instances.
No point changing the air filter unless it is due a change. On a Classic Subaru, semi standard the power gain from a change of fiter is at best very small and in some instances, negative.
