Ok, as I'm looking at getting a hatch be prepared for a barrage of questions to you hatch owners!
Ok, so todays questions is:
How does the push button start work, do you put the key in and turn to the on position and then press the button?
Or
Keyless entry and just hit the start button?
Have found the button at Japanparts for not a massive sum along with the trim panel but not the wiring, so am wondering how it operates so I can see If I could wire it in?
Car's I'm looking at tend not to have one fitted and I fancy one.
Cheers

it's handy as as you walk up to the car all you have to do is push the button on the door (either side) and the car will unlock that door (as long as you have the key in your poket)... then jump in, foot on clutch...push start button, away... I find having to use a key in the ignition on my mrs's TT a pain now...

I like the system, as long as you can lock and unlock without getting the key out. Saves fiddling about.
On the new Civic you have to put the key in, turn ignition on, then press the button. A complete pain in the ar$e and waste of time!

Alos it only unlocks the door that's pressed and that has the fob near to it... so if you walk up to the car and someone presses the button on the passenger side before you press yours..it will ignore it...it knows which door/side the fob is on.
The boot acts in the same way.
