Default Rally Armor

Ordered some flaps but they seem to be taking a while to get here from the USA. For those who have also bought some how long does it normally take for them to be delivered? They have sent me a link for Tracking but they seem to have been stuck in NY for nearly a week now.

What was the total with the current conversion rate? Looks like it's a two week wait according to Rob

Total was £52 cos I went for the cheaper of the options.

As its coming to the address of a US registered company we'll see if what happened last time happens again.

Cos everyone thought it was parts for my company, it dodged import duty

Ben

How many miles have you done now, have you noticced any chipping etc from not having any fitted? I'm hoping to get them on at the end of the week my dealer is fitting them for free as part of the deal so need to arrange with them. I am still concerned they extend too far beyond the bodywork but if they do the job then great.

I'm up to 1200miles and not the faintest of marks anywhere around there. Last week I gave her the second coat of wax so I had cleaned her very well and examined this area - couldn't see anything.

I feel the same as you about them. In most photos I think they look good but I have seen one or two where they don't - just not sure..............

I had a quick look last night and as they are the same colour as the car I think they will be OK. Car is booked in for next Wednesday so I'll try and get some photos done.

Flaps turned up today and no customs charges either!!!.

Downside is I ordered the basic flaps and their textured on the side that has the rallyarmour logo, but the other side is smooth. Not keen on the texturing, but can always swap sides and have the texture facing the wheel.

The Posty Man explained that the charges kicked in after a certain value so you escape with the cheaper flaps. The stupid thing was they attach the invoice in a clear packet to the front of the package thus displaying the cost, if they didn't do this Royal Mail and the Customs Man would never know but I don't know whether they have to display by law.

Why did you go for the cheaper ones particularly as a large part of the cost was postage?

Simple, I'm skint!!! BTW even the cheap ones with postage added takes you over the £32 limit for customs and exise.

Their only to protect the car sides when I'm driving down the forest tracks on the way to archery comps.

If they get trashed, I'll get the UR's when I have a bit more cash.

Excuse the pants pics, these aren't fixed, just roughly held in place. Not that you can see the texturing. And yes, I know the car needs a wash, but that will have to wait till next weekend.

Textured,

Smooth

I plumped for the expensive flaps... very happy... I followed it the other day when my wife was driving and the flaps catch the light nicely..

There not as big as some - but I'm well pleased with them. We should have all gone for a group buy with them though

Not sure if it's the just the flaps or the whole car but BMW Z4M drivers seem to get really pissed off when they see the car
