A friend of mine is needing to sell her car ASAP (Shes the mother of my daughters on and off BF - they are 7 bless em'
)
Anyway, she has split from her husband and needs to scale back on the outgoings.
Its a UK Black 05 WRX. Its done a smidge over 50K and shes had it for about 2 years ish. Shes the third owner with the 2nd owner being the garage she bought it from. Its stamped up to 07, receipts up to present however some receipts are missing because the husband has them and won't give them back. Theres a receipt for major service including discs and pads in 07 at 38K and theres loads of meat on the pads and hardly a noticeable lip on the disc itself.
It has a cat back stainless exhaust and does have an induction kit of some sort which we are trying to find OE box and piping for. She has only ever booted the car once, scared the pants off her so its really just tickled about.
Theres the odd scratch on the outside but nothing untoward. One of the fogs is broken but again I'm helping sort that. the interior is mint with no marks. She hasn't done these just yet because when she asked about a service/cam belt/front fog she was quoted £800!
Would £7.5K be about right? She's asking 8.5K and paid 10K. I thought 7.5K would be more realistic. I drove it for a while last night and actually really liked it. Not as much as a classic but I wouldn't say no if I had the money and space.

£7k would be what I would personally pay for that kind of car. Slight higher than average miles and due a big service.
She is dreaming a little if she expects to lose £1500 in 2 years and a recession

about £7,000,have a chat to servicing garage re prevoius services as they should have copies in their system as full service history would increase price
