Are these kits any good ?
And do you need any power tools to get deep scrapes out? i.e. sanders?

I refurbed my alloys a while ago.
I would recommend a small palm sander. It is amazing how they get rid of the kerb marks even the deeper ones.
After this the alloys need priming, painting and laquer.
I wouldn't bother with the kit as I used a tin of primer, 2 paint and 2 laquer and this kit only has 2 tins total. hth
