Subaru don't need to do anything like that 'cos the new car is selling very well from what I hear, and there are VERY few P1's left now...
Maybe it's because Mitubishi aren't selling many cars that they are offering this deal?

If you call over 260+ very few
That is why allocation of the new STi will be based on the number of P1's dealers can sell this year. I.E if a dealer sells two P1's prior to the launch of the new STi then they will only be allowed to order two STi's.
With regards to the new car selling very well, how many have you seen on the road ?
From the conversation I was having with my dealer I got the impression that he wont be rushing out to book a fancy holiday on the back the sales of the new WRX.
