Default Am i asking to much?

As per title really, i am iasking to much for this car?

https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...-3-sti-ra.html

Im looking around PH, Autotrader and seeing the same car in near on standard spec up for 4k so is an asking price of £5200 to much?

I know the market is dead but surely someone people are still buying cars....what would you say was a realistic selling price for my car?

Mods dont really add to the value of your car, it then becomes a speciallist market, ie less interest, but £5200 is pretty steep, knock about 700 quid off that and start there

Think around £3800 for that, standard price for a reasonable 2000 plate turbo with that mileage, otherwise they are in cookoo land

I know where your coming from with mods not adding any value but its hardly over modded. Obviously being a V3 and the ecu being non mappable then the Simtek is an added bonus for any prospective buyer, the turbo is far superior than the VF23 it came with, front mount (everyone does) and the injectors far more scope for tuning than the standard 440's.

****me sounds like im trying to sell it to myself...

Mate i'd say that is EASILY worth 5K.With it pushing out so much power and having the Simtec..AND it being painted etc etc.

If yours is worth 5K with all that i dread to think what mine is worth

its worth 5k mate someone out there will buy it! ive seen ****ty high milage v3/4 go for 4.5k. as MR Burns says "Mods dont really add to the value of your car, it then becomes a speciallist market" then rip the mods off and sell the car for £3800. the mods u got there are easily worth over 1k

Would be too much of a pain putting it back to standard IMO Injectors..turbo etc etc.

I bit the bullet and sold my 96WRX running 320bhp for 2k! Looking back i was stupid but at the end of the day it needed to be sold at the time.

I'd put it up for 4.5K and if it dosn't go for that just keep it..you'll regret it though if it sells

Mate at 5.2k I am sure you must be competing with v5 sti's with the revised interior and front end which I think most people would be looking to get with that kind of money. Some people can be put off with mods and others look at it as a bounus if a car has got any and do not factor in the added cost of the mods if they were to buy one without it. Last time I sold my p1 I sold it with the defis, ap's etc for similar money to the cars with the nearest millage to mine and used the fact that the mods would swing peoples choice to buy mine which worked as the first guy to come with cash bought it. Next time round ithink I will remove as many as possible as the prices have dropped so low I will try to remove the mods and sell it as close to standard and then make so money on the mods. I would remove some mods and lower the price. Best of luck

I think thats a reasonable price mate, I have looked at the ad a few times now i would love a v3 sti ra for hill climbing and yours does look like a minter cant justify the cost at the minute though.

i wouldnt budge below 4995, i suppose it depends on how fast you need to get shot of it.

strange market at the moment and to be honest I think it is a bit over priced. I was looking at a v5 tyre r and that was less than 7k, at the moment it is a bueys market and not a sellers market v nice car though and good luck
