Would you buy a high mileage Newage STI?
The reason I ask is that I've just put 46k on mine which is now 2 years old and might look to sell it towards the end of the year. Since the first set of brake pads lasted beyond 40k and the tyres likewise, it's not had a tough life so would you bear things like this in mind, and the FSH obviously, if you saw it up for sale or avoid it like the plague and go for one with regular miles on it?
Thx

I just bought a wrx 53 plate Fssh 2 owners from new, But with 87k I paid 5k for it. And i'm happy with that, Granted there are a few little dents but nothing i cant get sorted out.
i think you will sell it no problems.

It wouldn't put me off as it has a full service history, but obviously the price/value would be a fair bit lower than one with15-20k on the clock, but if the price was right then i would buy.

On the price, of course it'll be lower, probably about £500 less per 10k over the norm. Personally I see single owner, higher miles cars as a positive as you know how it's been treated and is obviously better value. My last 3 cars have been 118k (mk2 GTI) and 97k (GTFour Celica) and have been rock solid.

Its all about history, If it has good history and bills then I wouldnt think twice about the mileage.
Every so often threads like this come up and I remark about my hawkeye, She is very soon going to top 140k and it drives like new. People get worried about Impreza engines but if you look after them they are bullet proof, easily as good as anything VAG.

I wouldn't touch anything over 15000 miles myself normally but your going to pay more for a low miler, but then again mine only had 8k on the clock full subaru history and its still not right 3 months down the line, so figure it doesn't matter the mieage you just take your chances.

I think you'd struggle to get a good price ( or even a buyer at all in the current market unless the car is cheap ) - lots of people seem to be offloading 2-3 year old cars at the moment, and theres a lot with pretty low mileage.
Personally I would look for a low miler and pay a bit more.
