Stone chips!
I've had my 03 STI just under a year now and the amount of pitting on the front of the car is making the car look a mess. I've also just fitted some morrette headlights and even they are showing small white pitts after being on the car for not even 2 weeks.
The front bumper is really bad with the bottom part of the bonnet a close second. I don't rag the car, I do quite a bit of motorway driving (probably the main culprit) and polish the car at least once a month. Does anyone have any tips on how to minimise the damage? I'd prefer not to fit one of those bumper bra thingies for obvious reasons.

thought of doing this myself on my previous car, the fella that does it though explained that it is only protection and not definately going to cure the problem, basically if you get a stone hit the bonnet hard enough it creases the plastic film as it tears and looks twice as bad. granted he said it does offer some protection but just be aware because if it was to happen it is twice as hard to rectify.

I have had Armourfend fitted to my MY03 Stealth Wagon from new & although there are a couple of battle scars from big hits it doesn't have the sand blasted look of cars of a similar age.
Most people don't even notice that it has been fitted until they get to a certain angle & see a faint line on the bonnet. When you point out the whole front bumper etc is covered as well they have to look hard to see the join. If you do damage the film it's easy enough to remove that section & put on a fresh bit you don't need to redo the whole car.
